sabayon 16.02 4.4 LTS tried to emerge through portage didn’t help, trying to download package via git clone --recursive with manually installed all prerequisites still won’t start…can’t catch anything in logs. updates_python.py version in …/tribler/Tribler/Build/ do not work cause it won’t find version.py under …/Tribler/Core folder but file exists. Doing all needed steps under the root.

pip install Pillow (for for python 3 around some required module)
pip install cherrypy

Month ago the program work fine. Well I give up on these, my hopes that I can recompile it from git are gone cause there nothing to compile it’s just packaged version and seems that nothing works with my version of python lang in system dev-lang/python-2.7.10-r1 and dev-lang/python-3.4.3-r1 but I think the software don’t use it that way, just Pillow module forked from some other module.

Sorry I can’t copy the system info from second part of bug splash window and when I press "send button its not sending anything. It just writes send failed.

Please, try again with the latest release (6.5), 6.3.3 is reeeally old.

If you still have issues, I’ll gladly help you.

Cheers!

@cpunutz could you create a new issue on our github project page?

Thanks!

I plan to fix that bug today, please subscribe this issue to receive updates about it:

Help, please

I was using tribler 6.5.0. (on windows 7)
After a windows 7 security update Tribler won’t start. (I don’t know this was the issue…)
But from 1 day in the other tribler wasnot working anymore.
Reinstalling doesnot work.
Also installing 6.5.1 , tribler was not working.
My solution was:
Renaming .Tribler in AppData\Roaming in TriblerBackup
After that there was no problem running 6.5.1

There are a lot of people that waiting for a next update. Hopeful are this Issus rectified.

We have an Alpha test release specifically for this bug: https://github.com/Tribler/tribler/issues/2045

Please try if this works for you and get back to us. We need feedback on this hack
