What's happening and how to stop it

I downloaded and installed tribler today, Windows 7. After startup I looked into settings, changed some, clicked save, tribler crashed, log:

I restarted Tribler, clicked Channels>All.
It immediately showed the number 12, and twelve channels showed up. Before I could read which channels are available and how to select my favorites the number increased rapidly and it’s still increasing, over 700 when I last looked. Each time I’m browsing through the channels I see some of them turn yellow, I hear a ‘boing’ sound, the list scrolls up or down so fast that I’ve still have not been able to select any favorite. IMHO computer program interfaces should adapt to the slow speed at which human beings read, process and select information… Maybe tribler is the race car under the P2P software, but without a steering wheel and a proper set of breaks it’s hard to drive.

This is a known issue and should be fixed on the next release (V6.6).

Did you wait until the whole list got loaded? I guess you where trying to select channels while the list was still being filled up with all discovered channels?

I’ll create an issue so we remember to make sure that the new GUI deals with massive amounts of channels in a more user friendly way.

Thanks!
