After updating to Tribler_8.0.5_x64, it only works in the browser window, I get an error and all my previous downloads are gone
To be precise, the program runs in a browser window when i run it
The message comes up
“Tribler may not be running or your browser is missing a cookie.
In latter case please re-open Tribler from the system tray”
I’m using Windows 10 , No VPN
I had the same yesterday. The new default download location is “Downloads” so Tribler does not see your current downloads. I changed that and restarted, and after that Tribler picked up all the downloads where it left them.
On the positive side, the downloads themselves seem much faster now.
Had a similar experience as lambert2. Did not like the New look. All of my downloads disappeared. I’m very disappointed with the latest update. Quickly rolled back installation to - 7.14.0. and all of my downloads and Discovered Channels were where restored. The Update should at the least compensate to keep all the basics as they were. I won’t upgrade again until I’m sure this will be corrected. Thanks.
Go to settings, versions and import your library version. Mine got in a loop and was wrting 8Mbs to the metadata.db, so I stopped it after 30 minutes, by logging off.
After login and restart all was fine, except some strange torrents with weird names, removed those .
