Tribler - 7.3.2 - hotfix release is out

Dear Tribler Community,

Tribler 7.3.2 has been released today with an important networking hotfix over 7.3.1. The fix is for networking issue and not a security fix, however, we advise you to upgrade if you’re using 7.3.1 or before. The new installation should be smooth without any issues. We would like to ask you to try it out and let us know how you find it.

The binaries are available below or can be downloaded from the official release page at Github repository.
Windows(64-bit)
Windows (32-bit)
Linux
MacOS

If you encounter any problems using this release, feel free to report back to us. We’ll appreciate that. You can either create an issue ticket in Github (link here) or simply post it here in this forum.

For developers willing to contribute to Tribler with bug fixes or new features please check out this page which provides the basic pointers to get started.

And as always, the source code can be found on our Github repository but you can also download it directly here.

We hope you enjoy using this version.
Cheers!

There are two error messages that keep appearing:

Request error

An error occurred during the request:

the user with the provided public key could not be found

The above error usually appears at startup. The second error appears at seemingly random times.

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "TriblerGUI\event_request_manager.py", line 136, in <lambda>
  File "TriblerGUI\event_request_manager.py", line 81, in on_error
RuntimeError: Could not connect with the Tribler Core within 60 seconds.

Furthermore, (as mentioned earlier) my sharing ratio keeps decreasing while I’m exclusively uploading. A similar problem occurred months ago, but was subsequently solved. Unfortunately, it seems to have reappeared in the recent releases.

Could you please post detailed update instructions (how to back up state directory, etc.) ??

Everything works much better! :grinning:
