Tribler-7.2.1 is already here. Upgrade now!

Dear Tribler Community,

We have just released Tribler 7.2.1 today with an important performance fix addressing the slow bootstrapping issue in our Trustchain (TU Delft blockchain) network so we would like to ask you upgrade and test this version. The binaries can be downloaded from the website (https://tribler.org/download.html) or from the links below:

If you encounter any problems using this release, feel free to report back to us. We’ll appreciate that. You can either create an issue ticket in Github (link here) or simply post it here in this forum.

For developers willing to contribute to Tribler with bug fixes or new features please check out this page which provides basic pointers to get started.

And as always, the source code can be found on our Github repository but you can also download it directly here.

Cheers!

It doesnt seem to work.

I published 3 torrents and tried to download a torrent as advised here for testing: Tribler 7 beta release

Also look at the token balance.

Any ideas??

Little update: when I tjekked back at tribler a little later this showed up:

We’re back to this stuff being automatically copied when Tribler installs:

@Hammer, it does take sometime before you start earning credits. So hopefully, you’ll see positive balance over time.

For some yet unknown reason as reported by some users, they say they have a negative balance even when running Tribler idle for a long time. Ideally, every Tribler node acts as a relay node for anonymous downloading so they should be gaining credits over time if they help other users in the network. But that does not seem to be the case for some users. We’re investigating it and we will do a release as soon as we are able to fix that.

For now, we’d like to ask for your patience and cooperation.

@Holonet Thank you for reporting. We’ll look into it. Can you tell us which Windows version are you using?

Sure, Windows 10, build 1809.
