Tribler 7.10.0-RC1 is out today

Dear Tribler Community,

Today we’re releasing Tribler 7.10.0-RC1. This version includes improvements and bug fixes on the user interface, search and popular torrents. We’d like you to try out the version and let us know if you encounter any issues. We hope you’ll like it.

The binaries are available below or can be downloaded from the official release page at Github repository.
Windows(64-bit)
Windows (32-bit)
Linux
MacOS

Note: Win32 bit version is falsely flagged by some antivirus software. When investigated the issue, we found that the Python builder we use (PyInstaller) is being flagged even for a simple hello world program. So, it is possible that your antivirus might flag Tribler as malware if you’re using the 32-bit version. Therefore, we suggest you to use 64 bit version if you can.

If you encounter any problems using this release, you can either create an issue ticket in Github (link here) or simply post it here in this forum.

For developers willing to contribute to Tribler with bug fixes or new features please check out this page which provides the basic pointers to get started.

And as always, the source code can be found on our Github repository but you can also download it directly here.

We hope you’ll enjoy using this version.
Cheers!

And where did the trust graph go?

Clicking the tray button does not minimize or unfold the client.
My distro is:
KDE neon 5.21
Linux 4.0-74-generic #83-Ubuntu SMP Sat May 8 02:35:39 UTC 2021 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Well, it shouldn’t… Though, it should minimize/unfold on double-click. Does it?

There was no real use to it, so we hid it in the trust statistics page, under the new button round button with the “connections” symbol, near the title.

Yes, that’s exactly how it works in Windows.

Looks good and is working well so far. Stability seems better.
I like the row-column style for the left hand menu, less clutter.
It could use a start-stop update-refresh button for ‘discovered’.
I don’t miss the trust graph but i did appreciate looking over the connection structure now and then. However there was always some lag or stalling when you switched back to downloads.

Good update.
Thanks.
