Install on Linux Mint through deb installer OK, but won't start

System: Kernel: 4.15.0-70-generic x86_64 (64 bit)
Desktop: Cinnamon 3.6.7 Distro: Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled several times but the program just refuses to start. The install goes OK, says all dependencies are satisfied, shortcut appears in applications list but is unresponsive. Command line (with “tribler” command) only returns the file address. The tribler file in ./usr/share/tribler has “allow executing file as program” checked but is also unresponsive. Installing 7.5.1

Could you please install from sources? We suspect the problem is we included an incorrect interpreter in the .deb package. Installing from source will use the system Python interpreter.
You’ll have to install the dependencies by hand, though.

I had the same problem on my raspberry pi 400, but I figured that was because their binary did not support ARM V8. (cortex A72) If that’s the case, then the “all” in the file name is misleading.

Good point! Could you please create an issue in our GitHub?
