Hello all,
I’ve been using Tribler for some time now, and I enjoy the decentralized methodology. That being said, I’ve found that at times my streaming speed is very slow, particularly when attempting to stream videos directly without first downloading them.
I realize that Tribler is based on peer-to-peer connections, but I was curious to know if there are certain settings or adjustments that can enhance the streaming experience. Below are some questions I have:
Does reducing the amount of connections in the settings assist?
Would a VPN make the speed even slower, or could it be optimized in some way?
Are some ports required to forward in order to have a better experience?
Do seed ratios and bandwidth allocation play an important role in having high streaming speeds? and i have come through article that devops impact peer-to-peer streaming performance? can anyone have an idea what is devops ? .
If anyone has experience optimizing Tribler for smoother streaming, I’d love to hear your tips! Any advice from long-time users or developers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
