Could Someone Give Me Guidance on Tribler for Secure File Sharing

Hello everyone :slightly_smiling_face: :hugs:

I hope you r well. I m new to Tribler and excited to learn about its unique secure file sharing capabilities. I hve been exploring the platform and admire its emphasis on privacy and decentralized networking; which is consistent with my beliefs about online data protection.

  • What are the best techniques for configuring Tribler to optimize performance and privacy? Are there any specific settings or setups that I should be aware of?
  • I understand Tribler provides a unique method to explore information. Can anyone offer their experiences or advice for successfully locating and sharing files on the platform? Is there a preferred channel & way for finding high-quality content?
  • As I begin to utilize Tribler; I anticipate some problems. What are some frequent troubleshooting measures for new users? If anyone has experienced and overcome obstacles during their initial experience; I would love to hear about it.
  • How can I become more involved in the Tribler community? Are there any forums; groups; or events where I can learn more and interact with other users?

Also I explored some topics related to this but https://forum.communityhealthtoolkit.org/t/making-automated-messages-sent-from-rapidpro-to-cht-visible-on-the-messagepowerbicourse I did not get the sufficient solution of my query so I would really want to get some help from a more experienced person.

I appreciate any insights you can share. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
Thank you for your support as I embark on this journey with Tribler

Hey Bastina, welcome to the Forum

I use Tribler together with a VPN to add even more privacy. I configured Tribler to use 3 hops, so all traffic gets relayed through 3 other peers to provide more privacy. The more hops you use, the slower the performance gets though. My experience is that the new 8.x Tribler versions seem to offer higher download speeds.

Well, you can use Bit Torrent websites and communities such as Piratebay or 1337X to search for files and then download and share them through tribler.

As it is still under Development sometimes new bugs may appear. You could report them on github to get them fixed. GitHub - Tribler/tribler: Privacy enhanced BitTorrent client with P2P content discovery
