Dear Tribler Community,
The sixth release candidate of Tribler 7.5 series is ready for testing. It features numerous bugfixes and some minor usability improvements over 7.5-rc5.
For those who where not with us during the previous releases, 7.5 series features Nested Channel subsystem which allows you to create multiple personal channels with an arbitrary hierarchy of folders. Also, 7.5 features an extensive rewrite of the Tribler Core, resulting in better responsiveness and improved performance.
Attention, owners of big channels!
Previous versions of Tribler (7.3 and later) contained a bug that could have resulted in the corruption of the personal channel torrent. This release fixes the bug, and will automatically re-commit the channel in case it was corrupted. However, if your channel is very big, Tribler will appear stuck for a long time. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Although this is an RC and we consider it pretty stable, it is still advised to backup your Tribler state directory before upgrading.
