Tribler 7.1.2 with bug fixes is out. Please try it

Dear Tribler Community,

We just released a new version Tribler 7.1.2 with the bug fix for Tribler 7.1.1 which users were having issues starting up. We would like to ask your help in testing this new release and get valuable feedback from you. We’re committed to fixing the issues you report and make Tribler better one step at a time.

Upgrade from Tribler 7.1.1
Tribler 7.1.2 is a bug fix release for Tribler 7.1.1 and has a slight incompatibility. If you’ve installed Tribler 7.1.1 and has it working, please remove the following two lines if exists from Tribler configuration file triblerd.conf.

proxy_server = “empty or whatever”
proxy_auth = “empty or whatever”

They will be recreated with the new configuration setttings.

This configuration file is located at
For macOS and Linux: <HOME_DIR>/.Tribler/triblerd.conf
For Windows: %APPDATA%/.Tribler/triblerd.conf

Upgrade from Tribler 7.1.0
Upgrade from Tribler 7.1.0 should work without any changes. Please report us if you have issues.

7.1.2 is still unable to run on macOS 10.13.6

Just asks to close or reopen and sticks on loading screen.

Some torrents keep having a ratio of 0.000 even though I see them uploading fairly regularly.

After installing 7.1.2 I see that a number of existing downloads are in status downloading but are not downloading at all. Seeds are marked as 0 (446) and 0 (61), Peers as 0 (923) and 0(403). Not sure what the numbers between brackets mean, this is new to me since 7.1.
New downloads remain in status building circuits, Size is still unknown (0.0 B) as are seeds and peers.

@LesVerres Could you provide some additional information privately if want (eg, infohash, download hops count) so I can reliably reproduce the issue?

@watersource67 The number outside of the bracket indicates the total number of seeders or peers you are connected currently to and the number inside the bracket is the total count reported by libtorrent.
As per your comment above, I see that number of connected seeders and leechers is zero so it makes sense that download is also zero.

It would be great if you could provide us some additional information so we can reliably reproduce this issue? An example torrent (infohash) and download settings (hops count, download location drive: ssd/hdd/usb?) would already be good.

To note, we also observed a similar case about low or zero download speed when torrent being downloaded to a slow disk, eg.usb flash drive. This happens because client (Tribler) downloads faster than what usb disk can write. Therefore, we would like to know more about your case.

@S.Pan-TUDelft, thanks for looking into this. Not sure where all information is stored though but I provide what I know.
This is an example of torrent I try to download, which is at 89% but is now stuck:

The hops count is 2, I download to a hdd which has always shown good performance.

The bug has also affected my Mac system and I am not being able to access the system as the system is getting down and because of that, it is also showing iTunes error 9 in the Mac system.
