Feature request: Silently autostart Tribler (in the background) on System Startup

I have my system (Win10) configured to automatically run Tribler on Logon by adding a shortcut to the ‘Startup folder’.
This shortcut is configured to run the Tribler window ‘minimized’, and in the Tribler general settings I have ticked the ‘Minimize to tray’ option, so as a result Tribler will autostart and run in the system tray. However, when starting up, Tribler shows a splash screen for quite a long time. So my question is:

  • Is there an option to prevent this splash screen from being displayed?
  • If not, would it be possible to provide such an option for future releases?

Preferably, options to run Tribler in this manner are already shown during the Tribler installation proces or offered in the settings, e.g.:
- run at system startup
- run in system tray
- hide splash screen on startup

Is this version 6?

I can’t seem to find the “Minimize to Tray” in the 7.0.2.

Surly hope this great feature isn’t removed in the newer Tribler…
