The about section in the FAQ says that tribler has “The ability to cooperatively download”, but I couldn’t find any information explaining what it is and how to use it.
I think this is from the Swift era, Tribler used to have support for downloading content trough PPSP swarms which AFAIR allowed you to do cooperative downloads (IE a group of peers could agree which pieces would each download to make sure they would collectively have the whole set of pieces as soon as possible). But Tribler doesn’t support PSPP anymore so I guess the FAQ needs some refreshing.
Hmmm… can TFTP be modified to allow cooperative downloading?
Our TFTPish implementation is only used to transfer thumbnails and torrent metadata files across Tribler instances.
