Tribler fails to boot on Windows 10 Preview

I’ve run into this issue a few times where Tribler fails to execute on Windows 10. I’m probably not the first to explain this, but I do have a solution.

Go to the %appdata%/roaming folder using Win + R by typing ‘appdata’ without quotes. Note: If you’ve modified your 2 config files previously, I would save them to the desktop before trying the next step.

Delete the .Tribler folder. Start Tribler and you will be presented with the opt-in or out message. This choice is yours to make. Close Tribler and it will recreate the .Tribler folder for you.

Go back to the .Tribler folder and replace your 2 config files saved on your desktop and restart Tribler. This should solve your issues.

Good to hear you got it working! What version of Tribler was this?

Looks like your Tribler database got corrupted and your repaired it quite successfully… -j
