Port working correctly, but no search results and DLs stuck on building circuits

Hi everyone,

Just came across Tribler the other day and decided to give it a go.

However, I can’t seem to get it working. I’ve opened the default port and the connections tab in settings is confirming that my connection is working properly, I’ve also allowed it in windows firewall. Yet search always comes up with no results found, even with really common searches like Linux. Also the Automatic test file that started downloading automatically is just constantly building circuits.

I’ve left it open for a while now but still no change.

Any idea what could be going on?

Could you try with the latest pre-release? (RC7)

Hi Whirm,

Thank you for the reply, yes updating to the lastest prerelease fixed it thank you.

However I downloaded a video file earlier, and after it finished downoading the file name remained a string of chars and digits without the correct file extension. I had to rename it manually, but then it worked fine.

Is this a bug, should I report it somewhere?

Hm, that looks like a bug, yes.
